In compiling an album list for the year, I created a smart playlist that used the 'Date Added' tag in iTunes to select for those that I added in 2006.  This is because I have done a poor job of marking the release date on everything that I purchase.  I then had to go through and look up the release date for each.  I was a bit disappointed that a number of the albums that I had hoped to put in my top ten actually released (gasp) in 2005!  No!!!!!  Editorial constraints strike me down again.  Nevertheless, I must note the following albums because they have become (in some cases guilty) favorites in 2006.

4.  Ok Go - Oh No
3.  Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
2.  Wolf Parade - Apologies to the Queen Mary
1.  She Wants Revenge - She Wants Revenge
